Charity Partners and Fundraising

Our 2025/26 charity partner: Juno Women's Aid

From September, Juno Women’s Aid has been our charity partner. Radcliffe on Trent Male Voice Choir held two Christmas charity concerts in December 2025 at St Mary’s and All Saints Church in Bingham on 12th December and St Mary’s Church, Radcliffe on 20th December. Together, from ticket sales and generous donations to a ‘bucket collection’, these concerts raised over £4,000 for Juno Women’s Aid. There will be other fundraising events in 2026, including a Sponsored Singathon in the summer.

At the Singathon, the choir will hold a series of public ‘concertini’ – mini rehearsals followed by a concert, across the afternoon of July 11th. These should be very entertaining to watch. This Singathon will be in central Bingham, in the Methodist Church on Needham Street. There will be great refreshments available and the opportunity to hear more about the work of Juno. Donations to the cause will be very welcome.

Every day, Juno Women’s Aid stands alongside women, children, and young people across Nottingham and south Nottinghamshire, helping them find safety, rebuild their confidence, and recover from the trauma of domestic abuse. In 2024–25, Juno supported over 3,400 women and more than 350 children and young people, answered over 16,000 calls to their 24-hour Helpline, and even provided care for 59 much-loved pets through their Pet Foster Project — ensuring no one has to choose between safety and the animal they love.

As the largest domestic abuse organisation in Nottingham, Juno Women’s Aid delivers a comprehensive range of specialist services, including:

  • 24-hour Helpline – immediate, confidential support and advice
  • Emergency and move-on accommodation – safe places to stay and rebuild
  • Advocacy Services for survivors in the community
  • Justice Services – empowering survivors to navigate legal systems
  • Counselling and emotional support – helping survivors heal and regain confidence
  • Pet Foster Project – providing homes for pets while survivors find safety
  • Children and Young People’s Service – to help young survivors recover and thrive

Their mission is not only to provide safety but to create lasting change — challenging the attitudes and inequalities that allow abuse to continue.

Our fundraising for Juno

Radcliffe on Trent Male Voice Choir have set a target of £10,000 to support Juno Women’s Aid.  We have raised over £4,000 through our Christmas charity concerts and will raise more through our summer Singathon on July 11th and other events.

Every donation helps Juno be there for the next woman, the next family, the next call for help. Together, we can build a community where every woman – and child – lives free from fear. To help us please click here or scan the QR code to donate.
