Future Events

We’ve had a busy spring and summer, starting a new repertoire with a concert in Bottesford’s beautiful church, supported by Kylia Tsz-Yam Pai, Nottingham Young Musician of the Year 2023,  and she was amazing.  ‘What a wonderful sound you make..lovely tone and such expressive singing’ was one of many appreciative comments about the choir. In ChristChurch Grantham, we were joined by Shropshire’s Hadley Orpheus Choir, and demonstrated the fantastic power of two male voice choirs, especially when singing together for some pieces. 

 On July 4th,  we launched some other new pieces in a great family summer concert in Cotgave Welfare Club, with the world famous Derwent Brass performing with us as well as the choir from Cotgrave Candleby Lane school. ‘What a beautiful, emotional and varied show’ was one of the many compliments.  And then, on July 11th – we performed our ‘Singathon’ for Juno Women’s Aid… a four hour extravaganza of singing, which raised almost £1,000 on the day, helping bring us almost to our £10,000 target of fundraising for Juno. 

In the autumn we will be working towards our celebrated Christmas concerts, in Radcliffe on December 12th and Bingham on 19th.  And in the spring we will have an intense learning challenge for new singers in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, culminating in a concert in Southwell Minster on 7th May.
